The New Wind-Chill Index is only accurate in the range of conditions where wind-speeds and temperatures that can combine to be unexpectedly hazardous to human health. These are wind-speeds above 4.8 km/h (a brisk walk), and temperatures below 10ºC. Higher temperatures won't freeze you no matter how strong the wind, and lower wind-speeds scarcely change the apparent temperature. Disclaimer: Results are indicative only.
